Just made a Japanese Fan Fiction Community

So, I've really needed to spur myself on recently with writing some fan fiction I was previously working on, and I've also been seeing a lot of amazing Japanese fan fiction over here on Dreamwidth as well, which I would love to see continue! Because of this, I just started a comm called jfiction, which is basically a place for writers to post their fan fics (as long as the fic has some relation to Japan, be it anime to celebrities to original works, etc). 

Below is a preview of the community, although you can click the picture as well to be taken to the actual comm! I hope it will be lots of fun for everyone! ^_^

This look pretty cool and it's nice for there to be somewhere outside individual personal journals where you can post just everything.

Thank you for the kind words! ^_^ Yeah, I am really hoping to accomplish quite a bit by making this website!

1) Getting myself to continue my own fan fics, since I just keep putting them off! I really want to work on them too, so I hope by being a mod for this community, it will spur me to actually do something! XD

2) I think it's nice to have a sort of database right on Dreamwidth of all Japanese-related fics! Users should definitely link people to their own journals to read the stories, from the comm, but this way people will know where to look for all the stories at once! ^_^

3) I also think it will bring in more people from LJ, or at least make them feel more comfortable! I really hope it can achieve that!

I know what you mean about trying to get motivated to finish pieces -thud- Not been having much luck lately with older or newer stuff, so hopefully this will help me too.

But a general database is a good idea. I know there's some of my stuff that I can't really post anywhere on my own journal, on DW anyway, so it'd be nice to find a home for it 8D

LJ is much too crowded for me now anyway. I find DW a much nicer, more accomodating place. There's still some things that I watch, but there's a point where it just gets too much and the drama it causes for itself anyway has gotten old fast.

Oh man! Are you also having the same trouble? Please ganbarimasune! It's so awful to have a story burning a hole into your laptop because you aren't finishing it! XD I hope we can both get some work done with a comm like this! I really want to know what happens to my characters!

And yeah, I hope that it will seem like that for most people! So many people are interested in Japanese fiction, so if it can be like a database for everyone, that would be so great! I know I would find it really convenient if I were new to DW anyway~

And yes, I agree about LJ! ><;; It's just too crowded, and there's constant drama. Whereas DW has this really peaceful feeling about it. I'm not sure why, but it's definitely there. I feel safer posting journal entries over here, anyway! <3
