I'm not used to using dreamwidth so I've only just read this post which is like, four months late, but I'm commenting anyway xD It made me realize how I take everything for granted. I was just happily eating an ice cream when I read this.
I dislike pitying others because I hate it when I'm pitied therefore I won't show you any pity, but yknow like you said this world is filled with selfish fools, but amongst them there will be those who genuinely care, and I hope you find more of the latter than the former.
Since I'm still somewhat like a newcomer I don't know your full situation but I think it's awesome that you guys are able to enjoy yourselves in Japan with meeting AAA and all that, and sharing your experiences with us. I admire how you guys always look on the bright side of things.
The discriminating Sensei's truly a beep, but as someone who has also gone through the same form of discrimination through race, I understand how it feels. But stay strong - good things always come after a crisis after all (:
